Tarrant County Dog Parks

If you’re looking for a fun place to enjoy the summer with your dogs check out the local Tarrant County dog parks. As long as your dog is well socialized and enjoys playing with other pooches then a day trip to the park with them will be an enjoyable experience. Here are some local parks and tips for keeping safe. Remember with the weather so warm to take yourself and your dogs plenty of water!

Fort Woof - Fort Worth in Gateway Park

5am - 11:30pm

From I-30, exit Beach Street (just east of downtown Fort Worth), head north on Beach Street for approximately a quarter of a mile, and turn east (right) at the Gateway Park sign. Then proceed another quarter of a mile; Fort Woof Dog Park will be on your left.

Basic Dog Fun Etiquette

  1. Make sure to bring something (like a pooper scooper or bags) to pick up the mess your dog(s) make. Always clean up after your dog.
  2. Bring some water for your dog and a leash (just in case)
  3. Don’t bring your dog if it is aggressive
  4. Don’t let your pet wander too far. Always keep an eye on them.
  5. If the park is near a residential area, minimize the barking.
